It was the first week of EMRS for the new batch of students and our first assignment was to hold a mini roadshow along the link way outside the Fast Food Canteen! Each team was assigned particular products to sell. Our challenge was to come up with strategies and ideas to market our booth and sell our products. Everyone from EMRS was involved and we had to work in teams to come up with exciting ideas and strategies. Furthermore, it was our first week at EMRS and that gave us an added challenge – to work with people we are meeting for the first time!
The purpose of the mini roadshow was to create awareness about products offered in the Marketing Services Centre (MSC). Teams were tasks with different products to sell so we do not compete with each other directly. The mini roadshow welcomed all customers – both internal and external. Teams had many tasks to do beforehand such as finding out our target audience, logistics and advertising and promotions! Let’s check out what each team did!

All in all, the mini roadshow was a great success as everyone had a great time and we learned a lot that day. Skills such as good customer service and handling rejection from customers were furthered enhanced. Though it was tiring and energy draining, I can safely say that everyone truly had fun putting our sweat and tears into good work.
