The smell of gourmet food, the sight of crowds and the entertaining live performances.
These were some of the things happening in this fun-enjoyable event!
These were some of the things happening in this fun-enjoyable event!
Summer-licious@NYP Food & Fashion fair was organised by EMRS Team 1, held at the schools' Arium from 2nd July to 6th July 2012.
The 5-day Food & Fashion fair drew big crowds to the Arium. Students, lecturers and members of the public enjoyed the special promotions and the delicious food stalls that are offered at the event.
Booths such as Milly’s, Shop23, Ramly Burger, Sweet tarts HK pastry are among the many exciting vendors set-up at the Summer-licious@NYP Food & Fashion fair.
Apart from the food and fashion booths, a photo booth was specially set-up which allowed people to take a fun picture, with some props and keep it as a happy memory for themselves! Wide smiles could be seen after the photos were taken. Some enjoyed it so much that they became regular patrons and came by to take photos every day!
Entertainment includes various performances by NYPs' very own Soundcard team. Guest performers brought in by MCYS, local rapper Shigga Shay, Jack & Rai thrilled the crowds. We even had one of our very own Summer-licious crew, Fathin, performing. It was such a rocking event overall.
Not only that, we also received pleasant comments from our vendors and lecturers.
Singling, Jing Wen and Jasmine.L, owners of Vintique Caramel, said:
“It was a great event for the NYPs' entrepreneur students to learn from. They were efficient and professional in their planning and conducting during the event itself. We would like to give our big thank you to the EMRS crew for their great efforts to lending us a helping hand throughout the event! We would definitely participate for the next upcoming event.”
June, owner of Loot Boutique, complimented on the variety of vendors and that the Fashion & Food fair was well organised.
Despite having minor problems with the electricity, Jocelyn from Durian History commented that the overall experience at our Summer-licious fair was great.
Ms Maggie Hor, lecturer from School of Health Science also commented that the food stall was not bad; however, more variety of food stalls could be included.
Even though we faced quite a number of challenges, our determination and teamwork made the event a huge success.
Be sure to look out more for the next upcoming event held by the EMRS teams! You will never regret it!
